Wingham Community Trail - New Signage
New signs have been installed along the Wingham Community Trail at several trailheads throughout the town.
After the Wingham Trail Committee identified the need for a new kiosk along the trail behind Maitland River Elementary School,
the committee worked with now retired North Huron Public Works Director Sean McGhee to increase the signage along the trail as well.
The committee has since installed six new signs along the trail, included photography depicting views along the trail, a map of the trail and points of interest along its path.
Alicia Riley, formerly of Wingham, designed the signs, which feature photography courtesy of Kaitlin Beard and Alex Strong.
The new kiosk behind Maitland River Elementary School was designed and built by Thomas Beard with help from Terry Deyell, Phil
Beard and Wayne Elston, who is president of the Wingham and District Horticultural Society. For the new roof of the structure, Diamond Steel Roofing donated the materials.
