Tiny chapel greets visitors to Brussels

   Visitors to Brussels entering Morris Road (Huron County Road 16) from the west can stop at one of the province’s most unusual chapel.

   St. John’s Masonic Chapel on the north side of Mill Street at the west side of the village was built by lodge members on land given to them by Bell Canada, as a place for solace and spiritual contentment.

   The interior of the cozy white chapel, which was officially dedicated May 29, 1994, is a miniature replica of a church, complete with altar and pews.  It is open 24 hours a day. The exterior of the property is the perfect setting for photographs and quiet contemplation. Landscaping is done each year by the Masons.
