Your hosts, the Morrison family, are the fifth generation on the farm (and currently raising the sixth).
At the heart of Grassroots Farm lies The Byre Cabin, a handcrafted haven designed for comfort and tranquility. With a spacious reading loft & open-concept main floor, this adorable tiny home accommodates up to two guests, perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking solitude.
Made almost entirely of reclaimed materials, the Byre offers breathtaking views of the surrounding farm fields, orchard and pastures, immersing you in the perfect combination of simple living and modern comfort. The indoor fireplace, and outdoor patio with campfire and charming string lights, create a magical setting for evening relaxation. Guests are welcome to walk in the farm gardens where their ingredients are grown. The farm is also home to a cast of animals, including miniature goats, chickens, sheep, alpacas and Misty the horse.
During your stay, indulge in the farm's renowned artisan wood-fired pizzas, baked in hand-built ovens, crafted using locally sourced ingredients, and farm-fresh salads prepared with ingredients harvested from the farm’s gardens which are within spitting distance (please no spitting). Kick back with local beverages featuring selections from nearby breweries and wineries. Guests can enjoy their meals amidst the picturesque farm setting, with options for indoor and outdoor seating. The Pizzeria is open on Fridays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., from June to September, and on Saturdays, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., in July and August, and frozen pizzas are available daily in the farm store.
