Fairy doors add magic to a walk through town

Some miniature abodes have recently popped up around the village as the Brussels Fairy Doors Trail has been launched.
Zoey Onn, Terry Grey and the Brussels Horticultural Society launched the trail as a unique way to attract people to the village.

The miniature doors signify the presence of a fairy abode, according to legend. Onn says she hopes the doors will always be changing with the seasons, whether it be Halloween, Christmas or Easter.

The first wave of doors has already been installed throughout the community, Onn said, and she plans more, hoping to eventually have over 70 stops on the tour through Brussels.

She said she plans to implement gamification into the trail eventually, setting up some kind of reward for visiting the different doors across the community.
