Blyth Audio Walking Tours

Huron Arts & Heritage Network, a not-for-profit group that works to promote culture and heritage in the county, has produced a series of audio walking tours.

Blyth is a wee village with a big imagination, and the history of the village has inspired a nationally-acclaimed theatre company and a series of craft beers.

Step out with these three walking tours to dig a little deeper into the roots of its love for storytelling.

At the heart of it all are the quirky characters that inhabited the “Blyth Village Life”. Hear about a few of them as you explore the downtown area.

Learn about life on the rails that became Blyth’s trail on “Blyth Greenway Trail”. The village once stood at the crossroads of two railroads, and is now hoping to capitalize as a town that sits directly along the Goderich-to-Guelph Rail Trail, a hiking and biking corridor that stretches over 127 kilometres.

“Blyth Festival and Memorial Hall” will tell you the story of a town and a theatre company that saved a war memorial.

All are available free on Apple Podcasts by searching for Huron Historic Walking Tours.
