C&E Used Furniture has been a staple for local collectors for years. Whether you are just looking for a good piece of used furniture or you are a serious collector, the Decherts’ barn is truly a great place to explore: used furniture, bric-a-brac, knick knacks, and a few thing-a-ma-bobs thrown in for good measure. Parsons Used Furniture is the used furniture and appliance store run by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul with all proceeds going to benefit the community. Goderich ReStore uses its retail outlet to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. This store also utilizes donations of furniture and building materials. Vaughan & Sullivan are just a short drive from Goderich in the charming hamlet of Auburn and are the newest players in the field, having just opened their doors in 2019. They bill themselves as “All things retro, vintage, antique, kitsch” and their Facebook page can attest to that. Wednesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 130 Goderich St., Auburn.
Great Blue Heron Antiques and Collectables is located in an old barn at the corner of Highway 21 and County Road 25 (Blyth Road). It is an area tradition for antique collectors. Under new ownership since summer of 2022, the barn will stay open weekends until Christmas (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) or call for an appointment.
